The hot season runs through April and May, during which temperatures range from 35 to 40. Humidity is high but rainfall still sparse, making for hot days in the sun. After the Thai New Year, Songkran, in April (an attraction in iteslf), travellers may catch occassional rain which lends a respite to the heat.
Ranging in temperatures between 26 and 30 the rainy season runs from June to October. Rainfall mostly come in intense but short bursts lasting one to two hours daily. While there are more cloudy days during this season, the beach and local attractions are also less crowded making for quiet and serene holidays.
