Please note that Bangkok has two airports. This article refers to Suvanarbhumi Airport (BKK). We advise that you check your flight ticket to find out which airport you will be arriving.
For visitors arriving via Suvanarbhumi Airport (BKK), there are several options available to get to Na Jomtien Beach:
Roong Ruang Coach operate a public bus route between Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport and Thappraya Road in Jomtien. The ticket counter is located on the ground floor next to terminal exit 8. Buses sometimes look worn but are safe and air-conditioned. The bus pass through Pattaya and stops severel times during. Stay onboard until the final stop on Thappraya Road in Jomtien which will bring you closes to Na Jomtien. The trip takes between 2.5 to 3 hours from leaving the airport to arriving at your hotel. Upon reaching Thappraya Road, you can either take a “Songtaew” (Baht bus) to the hotel or arrange for your hotel to pick you up, usually against charge. Price for songtaew is negotiated before departing and varies depending on distance to hotel. Alternatively many hotels in Na Jomtien offer a pickup service for a fee, subject to prior reservation.
The bus from Bangkok Airport leaves every hour, seven days a week, starting at 7.00 AM. It is important to note that advance reservation of seat is not an option and you may therefore have to wait to get a seat, especially during the high season November to March when the next bus may already be full and you will have to buy a ticket for the following trip.
Located next to Roong Ruang Coach counter on the ground floor by exit 8 you will find Bell Travel Service. A private bus operator, the buses are generally well maintained and more comfortable than the aforementioned. You can reserve your seat in advance online. The bus will take you to the operators office in Pattaya at which point you will switch to a van that will take you to your hotel. The trip takes between 2 to 2.5 hours.
